My older brother still makes us laugh - no he's not odd or anything but he is humorous. I remember he once encouraged his first daughter to enjoy a trip we were on, with, "Mum doesn't know what fun we are having."
Of course, a hint of an invitation to have fun, and many will rise to the moment and possibly enter in more fully than at other times.
Jesus said that He had come that we might have life to the full, more abundantly, above the normal, whereas the devil just wants to steal, kill and destroy.. John 10:10
Following Jesus does not mean we are exempt from the difficulties of life but it does mean we can live life to the full and are called to have an abundant life, not just an ordinary or walk from cradle to the grave.
Where are you at? What is your life like?
The promise of the gospel is new life starting this side of heaven. Jesus said, John 5:24
24 "I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life.
