What fun we are having

My older brother still makes us laugh - no he's not odd or anything but he is humorous. I remember he once encouraged his first daughter to enjoy a trip we were on, with, "Mum doesn't know what fun we are having."

Of course, a hint of an invitation to have fun, and many will rise to the moment and possibly enter in more fully than at other times.

Jesus said that He had come that we might have life to the full, more abundantly, above the normal, whereas the devil just wants to steal, kill and destroy.. John 10:10

Following Jesus does not mean we are exempt from the difficulties of life but it does mean we can live life to the full and are called to have an abundant life, not just an ordinary or walk from cradle to the grave.

Where are you at? What is your life like?

The promise of the gospel is new life starting this side of heaven. Jesus said, John 5:24
24 "I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life.

Speaking of Jesus, Matthew records:-

24 News about him spread all over Syria, and people brought to him all who were ill with various diseases, those suffering severe pain, the demon-possessed, those having seizures, and the paralyzed, and he healed them.
25 Large crowds from Galilee, the Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea and the region across the Jordan followed him. (NIV)

That's where to start if you need to be healed. Meet the Healer. Jesus said:- John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. (NIV) He came that we might have life to the full.
